Apis Gallup Media Presence is an information system designated to produce e-files of persons, companies, cited in the media.

It is an extension of APIS REGISTERPLUS through covering one further significant part of the information stream – the media. For each media subject in this product are contained press releases, TV broadcasts and radio emissions. In this way it is comprised the "media file" of the subject.

Source of information are the media, which determine social attitudes:

  • the leading national printed editions of highest circulation – as daily papers and weekly periodicals;

newspapers. "24 hours", "Trud", "Sega", "Standard", "Monitor", "Novinar", "Capital", "168 Hours", "Duma", "Pari", "Banker", "Dnevnik", "Cash", magazine "Tema",

  • the comments and survey broadcasts of the national TV and radio networks;  

the e-media BNT, bTV, "New Television", "Darik Radio", Programa "Horizon"

CONTENTS

This product contains:

  • Summaries and full texts of press releases;
  • Full texts – comments and survey transmissions of the national TV and radio networks.  

This product enables gathering a "file" for the subjects, cited by the media through a review of all articles and/or transmissions, as one is facilitated to make a full reference about:

  • persons;
  • companies, including trademarks, trade companies and goivernment structures.  

SEARCHING MODES

Product has several searching modes:

  • Searching by name of the media subject – search by randomly chosen name;
  • Alphabetical index;

The alphabetical index provides user with an alternative way to identify the subject for whom a file is to be prepared. this is an alternative of the search and provides the user with a more convenient way to select a subject.

The list comprising all subjects is divided into three pages, as each page contains a particular number of subjects. What the alphabetical index performs is to show each page as an element of the tree and the text of the tree element represents the first several symbols from the first and the last element of the respective page.

The alphabetical index and the search dialogue are completely mutially replaceable.

In the Apis - Gallup media presence register persons cited in the media are identified by the means of key words, representing features of the particular subject, well-known in the public environment. in this way user enjoys easy orientation and finding the subject about whom is interested to produce a media file. The key words (features) ensure:

  • unique identification of the media subjects – as they are cited in the media;
  • grouping the media subjects by criterion, set by the user:

for natural persons – city/town, position, name of the company person is related, title, degree, rank, academic degree, lobby, etc.

for legal entities – subject of activity (branch), city/town, shareholders, related persons, etc. from the article’s context.

for trademarks and companies – owner, city/town, etc.

for government structures – ministry, agency (other institution), minister, director, etc.   RESULT When user has identified the subject he/she initiates search for materials in the data base of Apis Register +Gallup International. When he/she completes review of the found materials, user can proceed to:

  • filter the found articles for a definite period;
  • specify which materials exactly to be included in the file and what exactly to be included - heading, summary, or the full text;

User can also print the file or step back to review the contents. 

INFORMATION FILTERING

This product provides option for filtering information and selecting by:

  • name of the media;
  • journalist genre – comment and analysis, interview, information;
  • date and year;
  • author – author of article, TV host, interviewer, etc;
  • summary of the article(s);
  • full text of the article(s).

In its original version the product compliles the information, included in APIS REGISTERPLUS in respect to the sources of information and exists as an additional module. In its sequent version the data from it will be integrated with the data about physical persons and legal entities from APIS REGISTERPLUS.
